The Sudanese pound’s volatility through this period tested customer confidence constantly. Our response was to over-invest in transparency: real-time balance visibility, clear multi-currency reporting, and a mobile channel that let customers see exactly where they stood, day to day.

For banks now approaching digital transformation in other constrained emerging markets, the lesson isn’t a specific technology stack. It’s a posture: treat constraint as the design brief, not the obstacle to it.
